GRENADA GREEN GROUP ACTIVITIES
While the core mission of the Grenada Green Group is the elimination of litter, we are engaged in a wide variety of activities with the goal of keeping Grenada clean, green and a more livable place for all who live here or visit our island.
Some of our current activities:
- Plastic bottle collection
- School presentations on the problem of litter
- Poster competition in which students are encouraged to produce posters depicting the problem of litter. The entries are judged by a local artiste & the winning poster receives a cash prize of
- Consistent media advertising about our work
- Collaboration with Grenada Solid Waste Management Authority in the various antilitter campaigns
- Award certificates to businesses which keep their premises litter free & are replacing single use plastics with sustainable materials.
Plastic Bottle Collection
We actively support plastic waste reduction through ongoing plastic bottle collection initiatives. By encouraging community members to participate in recycling efforts, we aim to reduce pollution, promote environmental responsibility, and keep our streets, beaches, and natural spaces free of plastic waste.

School Presentations on the Problem of Litter
Education is key to lasting change. Our team regularly visits schools across Grenada to speak with students about the environmental and social impact of litter. These engaging sessions help foster a sense of stewardship in the next generation, empowering them to become lifelong environmental advocates.
Student Poster Competition
Creativity meets advocacy in our annual student poster competition. Young artists are invited to visually express the issue of litter through their work. A local artist judges the entries, and the winning student receives a cash prize. This initiative not only raises awareness but also encourages youth to think critically and creatively about solutions.
Consistent Media Advertising
Raising public awareness is central to our mission. Through regular advertising across radio, print, and social media platforms, we keep the spotlight on Grenada’s litter problem, highlight the solutions, and share updates on our ongoing efforts to inspire action and involvement.
Collaboration with Grenada Solid Waste Management Authority
Partnerships strengthen impact. We work closely with the Grenada Solid Waste Management Authority on various anti-litter campaigns. These collaborative efforts amplify our shared message, ensuring broader outreach and more effective action in reducing waste across the island.
Business Recognition Program
We believe in celebrating positive change. Grenada Green Group awards certificates to businesses that maintain litter-free premises and adopt sustainable alternatives to single-use plastics. These awards promote eco-conscious practices in the private sector and encourage others to follow suit.
